Scott Schonfeld, DPM
Dr. Scott Schonfeld was born and raised on Long Island and has been practicing Podiatric Medicine and Surgery on Long Island’s South Shore for over 20 years. His mission is to provide his patients with the most current, highest quality care to get them back to their active lifestyles. He is very pleased and privileged to practice in Merrick, NY where he resides.
Dr. Schonfeld earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree at the State University of New York at Albany in Biological Sciences in 1996. He then went on to Medical School at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2001 followed by an extensive 3-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, NY.
Dr. Schonfeld holds a license in Podiatry in New York and is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr, Schonfeld is affiliated with Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, NY as an attending Podiatrist in the department of surgery and Northwell Health Plainview Hospital as an attending podiatrist in the department of Podiatry. Dr. Schonfeld is married and has two sons. When not in the office or the OR he enjoys playing his Fender Stratocaster guitar, watching the NY Islanders, tinkering with his car, spending time with his family and walking his family’s Labradoodle pup.
